In-Store - Device Trade-In

Stores with Pandas Flex

Step 1: Pandas Flex

  1. The customer starts the trade-in process on the Pandas Flex. Flex will ask the customer to remove the phone case, covers, stickers or accessories, if any.
  2. After they tap [Continue] on the Flex screen, they are instructed to dial the code *#06# to display the IMEI number on their device's screen.
  3. The Flex drawer opens automatically, and the customer places the device inside the Flex.
  4. Flex performs cosmetic checks on the device including the condition of the frame, screen and back of the device.
  5. During the check, a Pandas video is shown on the Flex screen, explaining the cosmetic check process that happens inside the Flex drawer.
  6. Once the check is complete, the Flex displays the device's cosmetic evaluation report.
  7. The Flex displays the indicative offer price, based on the cosmetic evaluation.
  8. The customer selects [Complete Evaluation] to proceed to trade-in their device
  9. They scan the QR code displayed on the Flex screen with their device camera after retrieving it from the Flex drawer. This specific QR code opens the Pandas Web App on their device.
    • If the customer has already taken the tests via the Pandas Web App at home and chooses to "keep" the results, they will be directed to the final screen on the device, which displays a “thank you” message along with instructions to hand over the device to the store staff who will then proceed to complete the trade-in process using the Pandas Retail App.
    • If the customer has not already done the tests via the Pandas Web App, the tests start with Pandas Web App (step 1) below.

Step 2: Pandas Web Grading App

  1. The customer presses [Start] to start the device evaluation with the Pandas WebApp. The following functional checks are carried out (The device needs to have at least 5% battery to complete the tests and not be factory reset)
    • Touch operation (Digitizer)
    • Microphone and speaker (Audio)
    • Multi touch function
    • Gyroscope
    • Front & Back camera
    • Touch ID/Biometric Sensor
  2. The Web App asks the customer to enter their personal information
    • Name
    • Mobile phone number
    • Email
  3. On the same screen, the user ticks that they agree with the terms of use of the service, the privacy policy and the device ownership statement and presses [Continue}
  4. The Web App displays a final price offer with the results of all the checks that have been carried out.
  5. The customer selects [Complete Trade-in] on their device and on the next screen they see a “thank you” message along with instructions to hand over the device to the store staff who will then proceed to complete the trade-in process using the Pandas Retail App.

Step 3: Pandas Retail App

Pandas Retail App is used by store authorized staff to complete the check-out process, issue, and send the trade-in voucher to the customer.

  1. The store staff receives the device from the customer after completing the web app flow.

  2. The store staff connects to the Pandas Retail App, using the name and password given to each store (The Pandas Retail App is accessible from any web browser)

  3. On the first screen of the Pandas Retail App, they enter the IMEI of the device (as shown on the device screen) and select [Continue].

  4. The Pandas Retail App displays the final offer price. The store staff selects [Issue Pandas Voucher] through the Pandas Retail App.

  5. After confirming with the customer that the factory settings have been reset, they select the Factory settings reset via checkmark and select [Finish].

  6. The sale of the device is completed. The voucher is automatically sent to the customer's email. Enclosed in the email are also the terms of use of the service, the privacy policy and the device ownership statement and presses [Continue]

  7. “Find My” Enabled On/Off

    • If the device is iOS and "Find My" is enabled, then a related message is displayed in the Pandas Retail App before the voucher is issued and the customer with the help of the seller disables "Find My."
    • If it's Android or iOS and "Find My" or equivalent is disabled, they move on to the next step.
  8. The store staff place the device in a designated container provided for storage.
